Hello all,
There were multiples of Sarah, Loveless Sr, Loveless Jr and grandchildren that have since been merged.
In doing so, I have found that quite a number of us descendants have information that seems to conflict; and that several parents are listed for this ancestor.
However, when checking the reference link for the profile of her on Family Search, I find that she has been listed there with no parents and no surname, as it seems that information is unknown.
Here is the note from FS:
Please do not enter a maiden surname for Sarah, wife of Loveless Savidge, unless you can cite a contemporary, primary data source (not a GEDCOM, someone else's family tree, or unreliable and/or unsourced data sources such as WikiTree, Geneanet, and Find-A-Grave). Thanks!
Note: Some people have suggested that the name of this Loveless Savidge's wife was “Sarah Cornwall" (as shown in a large number of unsourced, online family trees), but have not offered any contemporary, primary source documentation to substantiate this suggestion.
Sarah Savidge--the wife of Loveless Savidge--witnessed the 1727 Will of Samuel Cornwell in Surry County, and was paid money from his estate in 1731. However, Sarah's relationship to the Cornwell family was not stated in either record. In contrast, in his Will, Samuel Cornwell specifically identified his son Samuel, his brothers Jacob, Aaron, and John, his sister Elizabeth, his uncle Matthew Jordan, and his brother-in-law Samuel Sebrell (implying that Mary Sebrell, who also witnessed his will, was also his sister). But nothing was stated about if, or how, Sarah Savidge might be related.
Sarah Savidge, and her son-in-law John Mangum, also witnessed the 1728 Will of John Spratley. However, neither Sarah Savidge nor John Mangum's relationship to the Spratley family was stated.
If you have any additional contemporary, primary source information that might provide information on Sarah's surname, please share. Thanks.
