John, the city of Grodno was quite large and had several parishes. It is not known where your ancestor was born. This makes your search difficult.

How sure are you that he was born in the city of Grodno and not in the Grodno area? There are records in Geneteka about the name of Dzmitrowicz from the Wawiórka parish, maybe he was born there? Unfortunately, you don't have enough information to help you. The only certain record is that Franciszek and Anna's son was born in 1877. Perhaps Franciszek was born around 1850. This is just my hypothesis though.

the surname Zmitrowicz can be found within Grodno area. The last available entry for the dead is for Julianna Zmitrowicz (1926), female (father Jan Zmitrowicz, mother Emila Chomczyk) from Mickiwicze village.
The last entry for birth is from 1889 for Józefa Karpowicz (father Michał Karpowicz, mother Salonea Zmitrowicz) in Adamowicze village.
The last available entry for marriage is from 1926 for Antoni Puchalski and Wincenta Zmitrowicz (father Han Zmitrowicz, mother Józefa Żelazko) in Adamowicze. All places are in Grodno district.
