Mary Barker was a daughter of Josiah Barker and his wife, Faith (Washington) Barker. She was the wife of John Ellis and they had the following children: Jesse, Gideon, Jeremiah, Martha, Reuben, Sarah, Stephen, Benjamin, Johnnathan, and William Ellis.
