What is known about Mira dos Suevos, Princess of Galicia? She is currently showing on geni as:

Mira dos Suevos, Princess of Galicia
Gender: Female
Birth: 574
Immediate Family:
Daughter of Miro, king of the Suevi and Sisegutia (Miro, king of the Suevi & Sisegutia)
Wife of Recaredo of Liébana (Recaredo of Liébana)
Mother of Benedicto of Wisighots and Liébana, Lord of Liébana; Aquilo of Liébana, and COIMBRA and Theodora, a Visigoda
Sister of Eborico, king of the Suevi (Eborico, king of the Suevi) and Nuño de Suevos da Galícia

There’s a Mira listed at https://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miro_%28monarca%29 as a daughter of King Miro of the Suevi, but there’s no citation to back it up, or description in the article. I do not see her in other language Wikipedia’s.

b) daughter . Gregory of Tours records that Audica, a relation of Euric, married the sister of the latter[113]. m as his [first] wife, AUDICA, son of ---.

From https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andeca#Matrimoni_e_discendenza

Matrimoni e discendenza

Andeca sposò, in prime nozze, la figlia di re Miro[2].
Poi in seconde nozze, nel 584, sposò Siseguta, la vedova di Miro[4].
Di Andeca non si conosce alcuna discendenza, né legittima né illegittima[12].

It looks like her husband Recaredo of Liébana might be a duplicate of Recaredo I, rey de los visigodos. The relationships are different but there's a note on the profile of his son Benedicto of Wisighots and Liébana, Lord of Liébana that links the two profiles and states that Benedicto was not a known son of Recaredo. If so, Mira is not listed as a spouse on the Master profile.

I think they’re trying to show a tree they interpret as laid out by Francisco Antonio Doria through the lens of the Fab Pedigree author, who is an amateur, and disclaims his work clearly:

PLEASE do not treat the information in this genealogy as authoritative.

Just use it for hints, and research using some of the more reputable genealogical websites which I consulted.

(Also see https://fabpedigree.com/explain.htm)

In the profile for Recaredo of Liébana Prof. Dr. Francisco Antônio Dória (Francisco Antônio de Moraes Accioli Dória), Brazilian mathematician, philosopher and genealogist. He is member of the Colégio Brasileiro de Genealogia.

I see a paper he’s published, as example:

http://www.theplantagenetconnection.com/id11.html

19 Descent From Antiquity Through The Presores of Coimbra (Francisco Antonio Doria, Christian Settipani)

Now that’s a source worth trying to get hold of.

https://fabpedigree.com/s010/f302010.htm Does not have a Mira of the Suevi as mother for Benedicto (Seigneur) de LIEBANA

(Probably not directly relevant, excuse the digression).

I wish that v. give the source (or sources) for this descent from Aquila/Agila II. The onomastic is foreign, in this line - which is not in the line of fr. bernard

We are currently discussing, on gen-med, the connection between the Visigoth kings and the Asturian kings. Christian Settipani exploded,' with a perfect chronological argument, the identification of Aquila II to Fafila's father - but standing another, older Aquila, son of Reccared and the Merovingian.

So excited to find out she is my 40th GGM 💞

This is my 41st Great-Grandmother.
