This connection is erroneous based on name confusion. James Hair was Cherokee from TN while James Conrad was from N.C., the two are frequently confounded because the Father of James Hair was named Hair Conrad, but the two families are not connected. He married (3) NELLIE MCGHEE October 1838 in Calhoun, CNE, daughter of _____ (John) MCGHEE and ELIZABETH PATHKILLER. She was born 1820, and died October 19, 1882.
