I've been working really hard on my family tree and I am having trouble separating family lore and actual genetics. My hope is someone in this discussion can assist and possibly confirm relations so I may get it right.
My grandmother was Rose Eisenman 1892-1952. She had a brother Harry 1881 -1940. Family lore says Rose had one brother. Genealogy indicates she had a brother Israel 1879-1946. If this is correct this confirms an entire Delaware contingent whom we (my family) were never aware of.
Rose's parents were Abraham Eisenman 1856-1936 and Sarah Rivka Mannis 1857-1916. This Abraham lived in NY and never in Delaware, yet there is also an Abraham Eisenman from Delaware? Abraham Eisenman per family lore was also married to Rebecca Dunkleman 1898-1970. I just can't seem to prove this. Rebecca was also married to a Sol Eisen 1898-1974 from Canada. Which seems odd to me that she would have been married to a Eisen and Eisenman?
I believe part of the solution is to figure out if Abraham Eisenman had any brothers or sisters or whom his parents were but I'm just having no luck.
I'd appreciate any feedback or knowing if any of you have had DNA testing. DNA testing would help confirm things.
My primary tree is on Ancestry, which I am willing to share.
