This is info on this William Herring who was married to Elizabeth Stephenson:

I don't see any evidence in the info at the above link indicating he ever lived in Kentucy. The link above states that from the Valley in Virginia they moved to: "William Herring and family then moved to Pendleton
County, where he bought land from Samuel Dalrymple, Decem-
ber 27, 1790."
I'm 'assuming' that is Pendleton County SC since that is where my ancestor, his daughter Frances (Herring) Jolly, was born.
It seems that some of the details on this WIlliam's profile have been in error and maybe from a different William Herron or something. Going by the sourced info referring to documents regarding this Williams and his family at the link above, I've corrected what isn't locked on his profile.
