A relative, whose profile I manage, has passed away. I was trying to insert hsi date of death, but in his profile I cannot find a "status" or date of death column.

This is the profile I am trying to update.

Please help.

First thing I see when I look at that Profile is, he has an Activity Tab.
Any Profile with an Activity Tab is a Geni User.

For what to do when a Geni User dies, see these illustrated instructions:
https://help.geni.com/hc/en-us/articles/229706547-How-do-I-report-a...

I followed the instructions on his record and denoted the reason as "Deceased" and then clicked on "Submit". It just doesn't move or accept my answer. I had to "cancel" out. What should I do now?

The name of the @Vijayakrishnan.

Is this the profile you mean? Private

Try it again since occasionally something just chokes temporarily
Ie go to that profile,
Click Actions - then click Report
Then choose Deceased from choice for Reasons
And enter info on the death in the box
Then click Submit

If nothing happens, take a screenshot
Then open a Ticket - and describe what happened. Be sure to copy and paste the profile's URL
You can attach screenshots when you submit a Ticket, so do so with the screenshot I you took
Because that is not what should happen - it may be a bug just with that profile, or it may be a more universal bug - let them discover which it is and fix it.

I did as you told me, and this time it went back to the profile. Still I cannot find a "Status" where I would denote deceased in the record. Instead, I added a label and the date as shown. I have a screen print

It is not instantaneous. It now shows it has been reported, so sometime in the next several days the account should be closed.
AFTER the account is closed THEN you can change it to deceased.

Thank you.
