By all accounts Alexander attributed to this Alexander, died in 1725, therefore this Alexander cannot be his son. There is a baptism record for an Alexander of Kinminity.

'December 2nd Alexr Sutherland Jr of Kinminitie had a son baptised called Alexr. Witnesses: Alexr Earle of Huntly, Alexr Innes of Coxtown / Coxtoun & Alexr Sutherland elder of Kinminitie'. [I assume Alexr Sutherland Jr is Alexander 4th, he died in 1725; Alexr Sutherland elder is Alexander 3rd, he died in 1710]
