Geni lists his wife as Edyth-Gyll (6000000004360279767) - no maiden name provided.

Family Search lists two possible wives for Thomas.. Thomasine Jennings (1584 -1690) and Edith Grace MURRAY - Same birth and death dates as Ms. Jennings.

Ancestry lists the same two individuals as possible wives, depending on which tree you're looking at. Again, same birth and death dates for both persons.

Geni lists the mother of Thomas Gill as Elizabeth-Gill/6000000015232393851.

Family search lists the mother of Thomas as Elizabeth Gracy. Ancestry lists the mother as Elizabeth Grace Murray - the same as Geni. All three sites list the birth and death dates of the mother as circa 1560 - ?(Geni),' 1602 (F. Search) ; 1632 (Ancestry).

Edith Murray vs Elizabeth Murray?? Different people? Who's Thomasine Gennynge or jennings?

Also, Thomas, his father, and his mother all died on the same day. Weird, but possible

there are no PROFILEs listed here, for me to follow.

Jeffrey, what Marvin is alluding to is to go to the main profile page and copy the header. typing the profile doesn't create the link, since not all was included. Here I think are the profiles you are referring to. Those profiles look like they have incomplete info.

You can find the same death date, say, if they died during an Indian raid, shipwreck, fire, sometimes with the same disease (there were a number of smallpox, measles, and mumps). Often you see it when someone means to say that, for example, the husband died before the date of probate. Or, died after the will. And the wife was mentioned in the will... or was part of probate (or conversely, she wasn't mentioned and had to die before then). Sometimes people don't use the Before and After settings. Hard to tell without somone researching.

And this comment at Edyth's profile doesn't make any sense at all. There isn't any reference to why Sarah instead of Edyth.
>>>Could be:

Sarah Jenney 1615 - xxxx

Sarah Bull 1612 - xxxx

Sarah Hopcott 1612 - 1682

Edyth Grace Gill

Thomas Gill

The tree that contains them looks like two (or more?) disparate trees that were erroneously linked together. Switch to tree view from Thomas' profile and then check dates, you'll see what I mean.

I looked at Salisbury VR (https://ma-vitalrecords.org/MA/Essex/Salisbury/aDeathsG.shtml) and could not find records for either Edyth Grace Gill or Thomas Gill

Private - You are correct about Thomas Gill and the attached wife.

The only person with a verified death date of Dec. 1, 1690, is their son, John Gill, of Salisbury

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Gill-97 Has parents as Thomas Gill & unknown & as son of a Christopher https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Gill-1903

There’s a parents of John Gill discussion at https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/195031/parents-of-john-gill-of-salisbu...

My question has to do with his parents. They are listed in profile as Thomas (Gyll) Gill and UNKNOWN Grace Gill_Gyll. There are many things wrong with these profiles, but I cannot find any sources for their existence at all, other than an Ancestry.com profile that has been copied several times, including by me in my earlier, more innocent, days.

My takeaway is that English origins for him are guesses based on miscellaneous records found at FamilySearch or Ancestry with no logic, coherence or scholarship.

I’m going to detach John as son of Thomas Gill & lock his profile as unknown parents.

If anyone has another suggestion, please post.
