I am interested in knowing if any of the members have information about the y haplogroup of this family. I have Zivs on both sides of my family. The Hurwitz surname of my grandfather is said to have been Shiff /Zhiv (sp). We have a mesora of descent from the Vilna Gaon. I am wondering if any members have heard such.
My family have dna on most sites and my uncle Harrison Hurwitz has his y 700 data on ftdna as do I.
Looking forward to hearing from anyone who might have relevant information.
