Rachel's mother was Nancy Kyshire Bridges (daughter of Runawsy Bridges and Nellie Birdchopper). Nancy's married name has been listed as Gunnels, Ledbetter, and Berryman. Rachel's fsther is unknown, as far as I can find. Revords among the Cherokee were often not written records, but oral....passed down from generation to generation. It could be that Nancy was widowrd and remarried multiple times.
