THREE Fathers - one with Sr in Title, one with Sr in Suffix, one without "Sr" - otherwise the same?
No Birth Surname
"Jr" in Title and Suffix
One Source - but clicking to continue to MyHeritage gets "Invalid match id"

(Geni shows as Gen 16 from a second cousin of mine)

I think you are referring to William Nickerson ll (1604-1690), son of William Emory Nickerson 1571-1623. If so, I found him on Geni as William Nickerson ll; not Jr. as I believe the "Emory" was left out, perhaps justifying the "ll". He was my 7th or 8th great grandfather. Steve Nickerson

Dr. Stephen Clark Nickerson - No, that is someone else that you are referring to above.
the link to the profile I am referring to appeared on the left under "Profiles Mentioned" so I did not repeat it in my initial comment. Sorry.
It is this profile: William Nickerson, Jr.
And it appears on Geni, then and now, exactly as shown in the Title/Subject line of this Public Discussion.

Geni says Dr. Stephen Clark Nickerson is Jr. William Nickerson, Jr.'s 11th great grandson
plus you are one of his 12 managers
so probably of interest to you

PS - The hyphen and the part of the Discussion Title to the left of the hyphen was auto-generated by Geni because I started the discussion from his Discussion Tab

@Jr.William Nickerson, Jr.

Hi Lois: This is the 3rd time I have tried to respond; for some reason, Geni keeps deleting my text. So one more time and I give up. You are correct: it is listed as "Jr. William Nickerson, Jr.", which is weird. I will try and edit it on my end. His father was William Nickerson 1475-?, and he evidently sired junior in 1490 at age 15! Junior was my 11th great grandfather. If you have the names of their wives, I'd love to add them. Thanks, Steve

Steve - sorry, no info.
Sorry about Geni giving you such a hard time. No idea why it sometimes does that.

I see Erica got in and fixed it up about an hour ago. Looks good now!!

Yes, I see that. Thanks. (Who is Erica?)

Hi, I’m a volunteer curator for geni, and I look after the Nickerson tree. Summers on Cape Cod made me familiar with the name, and apparently, I’m related a couple of days (not directly).

I don’t actually see sources this early, it’s likely before Parish records were kept.

There’s a 2013 Study I just uploaded to John Nickerson and his descendants:

Bush, Richard L. The English Ancestry of William and Anne (Busby) Nickerson of Chatham, Massachusetts, and of Nicholas and Bridget (Cocke) Busby of Boston. American Genealogist (D.L. Jacobus). (Oct 2011 (published May 2013)) 85:246 < AmericanAncestors > page 250-251. 2:249. '... John Nickerson of St. Stephen's parish, a glover, admitted as a freeman of Norwich in 1564 [citing L'Estrange, Calendar of Norwich Freeman, 102]. The administration of his estate was granted to wife Elizabeth in 1568 [citing Consistory Court of Norwich, Act Book for 1563-70, f. 277].'

Hi Erica, and thanks so much for the information. I had no idea I was a descendant of a Mayflower passenger. All this info is very interesting, and please keep me in mind if you come across any more items. I am living in GA now, but need to get to Chatham for a visit! Thanks again, Steve Nickerson
