I see this person, Richard Gadbois Woods Sr. (Richard Gadebois Woods Sr), connected to the same parents both here (Joseph Amable Gadbois & Marie-Catherine Gadbois (Colin)) and on FamilySearch (Vandandaigue dit Gadbois & Catharine LaLiberta). Those don't look like the same parents until you look them up on WikiTree: Joseph Amable (Vandandaigue) Vandandaigue dit Gadbois & Marie Catherine (Colin) Laliberte-Colin. The dates roughly match as well.

However, I can't find any source that connects Richard to these parents; FamilySearch doesn't appear to give one, and WikiTree lists completely different children for Joseph and his wife, none named Richard. Richard, meanwhile, has no siblings listed on FamilySearch or here.

I'm just getting started in genealogy, don't have access to primary sources, just using these free sites. Maybe I'm missing something. And I know from repeat experience that children/siblings are often missing on these sites (my great-grandfather for example is missing from some genealogies). I'm wondering, though, how these two generations are connected and what is the source for the info? Or is it just a mistake that's been spread from site to site?
