My family came from Hlusk (Glusk). The name is pronounced Zi-oon-chick. It means Little Hare in Polish. They were in Hlusk as far back as the late 1700s. After immigration to the USA, they changed their name to Singer or possibly Singerman. Three main branches Spread to the USA: one in Detroit, MI, one in Youngstown, Ohio, and one in Cleveland, OH. Using Jewish Genealogy, we have traced the family back to Leyb who, in turn, gave birth to Abram, who had a child Gad (Godo). Gad had 8 sons. Gad's son Abram had 4 sons, two, of which (Shalom & Monus), settle in Detroit, MI and owned a poultry shop. Gad's son Leyba (Louis) had one son who settle in Youngstown, OH and another in Cleveland. Saul ran a TV repair shop in Cleveland. Gad's son Movshe (Morris) Settle in Youngstown, OH.
