Further DNA and "Mcfarland"

There are now 4 lines in the USA of McFarland/McFarlane/McFarlin that have been DNA linked, and sharing a common origin in Ulster. The first, probably the first to arrive, is the line of Daniel McFarland of Worcester, Mass (my own line). Subsequent autosomal DNA testing, (Family Finder) by a female with FTDNA now demonstrates a link between Daniel McFarland and John McFarland of Boothbay Maine. A third DNA proven line in the USA is that of Duncan McFarland, wife Ann/Elizabeth Porter, that came in via Penn. and whose decedents moved down the Shenandoah Valley (Augusta, Russell, Tazewell, Wythe) with some bleed over in the KY and Tenn and Orange Co NC. A fourth DNA related line in the US is that of Francis McFarland/McFarlane, and wife Mary Agnes McWilliams, of Lawrence Co PA. crzypopmac@aol.com
