William Noah Weible - ships registry for immigration of family

I have this name and the names of the siblings and parents of William Noah Weible (and my ancestor, Jacob Weible) obtained from a family member via Ancestry.com, with the family traced generations back in Switzerland. However, I am not aware of the ships registry / manifest documenting their immigration and I do not know how the information on the family was obtained. I suspect someone did research or had it done in Sissach, Switzerland (which I have visited) but do not know that. The information is contrary to what Ella Metsker Milligan has in her 1942 genealogy of the Metzger family, wherein she says Jacob's father is Stephen, but I have reason to believe that is wrong and resulted from finding Stephen's name on a ship's registry. Can anyone help?
