Thanks for the answer @ Ashley
I understand your point of view. I could get it.
I apologize for the delay in replying, but I am facing a severe disease in my family. Then my time has been shorter.
Well, Country music can be a very tricky and interesting subject.
I will leave some notes here for those who are interested to know more about it.
Sertanejo comes from the word "sertão", which means far country or countryside. But in Brazil, it is not the word that defines better the real Brazilian Country music.
The purists would call it "Música Caipira" whose translation would be "Hillbilly" Music. Especially the high-quality music. And also includes the subgenre called "Música Nativista" or "Gaúcha"
Just out of curiosity, I will let these links below to compare - in the first video the "a tempo" is faster, and it's rockabilly - but the Country chords are there, and sounds like Classic Brazilian Country Music:

Nice tip: The best blog/website about Brazilian Country music is called Recanto Caipira by the journalist Sandra Cristina Peripato.
https://www.recantocaipira.com.br/
Peripato would be the right person to create a project about Sertanejo/Música Caipira here at Geni. Maybe one day.
I am running this project. May be interesting to visit:

Some examples of great Brazilian or Portuguese Country artists:
Private User You are absolutely right. The cultures of Portugal and Brazil are different. There is no reason to unite musicians from both countries in the same project.
José Mendes is a traditionalist musician from Rio Grande do Sul who enjoyed some success in the southern region of Brazil. In Portugal he is totally ignored. Just like 90% of the Brazilian population has never heard a Fado.
Hi, Tim Stamps,
We have one project for Country Music Performers & Songwriters and another for Folk Music Artists.
Of course, some people wind up in both projects! But otherwise, we've been maintaining a difference.
I should list some other projects (not comprehensive):
And, when in doubt, there's always the generic project: Musicians, Composers & Orchestra Leaders
