George C. O'Banion died at 5:10 a.m. in Rapides General Hospital. He was a native of Lone Pine, a resident of Pineville, member & Deacon of Lakeside Baptist Church, retired farmer, former employee of the City of Pineville and Rapides Parish as a Road Superintendent.
Survivors are his Wife: Velma Bryant O'Banion; Son: Charles O'Banion; Stepson: Robert Westbrook; Stepdaughters: Linda Bohannon of Alexandria and Sandra Page of Dallas, TX. Brother: Ray O'Banion of Colfax Sisters: Belle Foreman of St. Landry and Genevive Johnson of Baton Rouge 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. All others were residents of Pineville, LA.
Pallbearers are Ronnie Johnson, Lester Duthile, Carl Foreman, Garland Brossette, D.T. & Kenneth Antee.
Funeral Services held by Hixson Bros., Pineville at 2 p.m. with Revs. Dudley Rutledge & Sherwood Hawthorne officiating. Burial was in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Pineville.
