Mary Shipman was not the daughter of Samuel Chandler and Margaret Chandler
See "The Identity of Mary (Andrews) Shipman," TAG, 24:53. She married #1 William Andrew Jr and was divorced, with freedom to remarry, 16 Oct 1661. Her daughter, Mary Andrews, was born 14 Jan 1650 at New Haven, married 10 Aug 1676 to John Pratt.
One gedcom at Ancestry.com conects Mary to Plymouth Chandler family. Anderson, Great Migration Begins, does not support this. No connection shown between Edmund Chandler's Plymouth family and any event in Connecticut.
