Mary Jane Vaughn (Napier) - Parents

The parents for Mary Jane are incorrect here on Geni. Her Find-a-Grave Page explains:

Mary Jane Napier was the daughter of Booth Napier and Sarah LaForce. Many people believe Rene Napier was her father, when he was actually her older brother. Their maternal grandfather was Rene LaForce.

I happened to be tracing the line since she's a Napier cousin of mine via her father Booth Napier and a DNA descendant of hers on Ancestry who I have a DNA match with via the Napier lines traces back to Booth Napier and his wife Sarah LaForce as Mary Jane's parents.

This is her profile with the info that matches Find-a-Grave and other trees:

Note 1: Most investigators seem inclined to identify the spouse of Booth NAPIER either as Sarah LaForce or as Sarah Garland. Sarah LaForce, the daughter of Rene LaForce (the planter-physician of Huguenot extraction for whom Rene NAPIER is likely to have been named), was married to William Hardain (Harding) in Goochland County, Virginia, 7 November 1748. And Her marriage to William Hardain (Harding) is clearly indicated by the Will (dated 16 December 1756 and proven 18 July 1757, in Goochland County, Virginia) of her mother, also called Sarah. Of this Will, William Hardain was the executor.

So I'm unable to sort out without question who the mother of Mary Jane was, was it seems most agree her father was Booth Napier, not Rene.
