John Thomas Todd - Parents

THe geography for this John Thomas Todd doesn't fit with his connected parents who were in Kentucky, not Massachusetts. Some Ancestry trees show he was born: May 1800 South Carolina, South Carolina, USA, so nothing is matching.

I'm wondering if folks haven't gotten this John confused with another man by the same name. Do you happen to have any additional information on these connections so we can try to clarify. I'm tracing a DNA match's lines and it is very confusing.
