Merging has been disrupted for several weeks - is the problem with Geni?

Is Geni undergoing some problems as a site? Several times over the past weeks I've tried to merge profiles that clearly should be merged, only to get a pate that: Geni will be right back! But it never returns.

The particular profiles that need to be merged this sime are for Benjamin Davis, below.

Each of the profiles show him having different children, but when you go to Family Search: https://ancestors.familysearch.org/en/L6MJ-SBJ/benjamin-davis-1753-...
you can see that all of the children are claimed as his Is anyone else encountering this? Is Geni flooded or is there something going on that I don't know about? I've cleared out my cookies, so I don't think te problem originates with my computer. thanks! Paul Street

Geni's programming is in a constant state of change.
Getting that message then was probably just a coincidence.
As for "it never returns" - did you refresh the screen? Because no, it does not refresh on its own from that.

Thanks, Lois! Yes, and often it still won't work the following morning after a couple of refreshes. But sometimes it seems to get through, and I'll find that someone else has accomplished the requested merge, though Geni gave no confirmation I'd gotten through. Mysterious!
