What does "GEDCOM Stuff" mean, Somehow I got copied on your note, but why are you letting me know?

Erica had told me a couple of months ago that when I say a bunch of those GEDCON lists that don't have any useful info (or a working link).. to just delete them because they don't provide any helpful data for the future and just mess up About Comments in future merges.

they are like Info stamps from the data, but aren't of any use unless you can get to the source of where it is talking about. Most don't do that, so just delete the info.

because the reference numbers are more for the event, or a place location, that without the link the numbers are meaningless.

If I think that someone may find value somewhere sometime I attach as a text document to profile and call it Gedcom sources.

Otherwise it’s just gumming up the “about” and no reason to save.

And, in any event, can always be restored or viewed through profile view > history > about me
