This is Chaim Spitz. I am pretty sure we are second cousins as my father Mayer Spitz is your mother Esther Stern's A"H first cousin. My father was told many years ago by his father, Chaim, that we have a mesorah we are einekelech of th Chasam Sofer. I just don't know exactly how. As someone once told me a joke "There was a yid walking back and forth at an exhibit at the 1964 worlds fair in the Hungarian booth. They asked him what are you doing here? He answered "I am the only Jew in Hungary who is not a descendant of the Chasam Sofer". I personally was never able to find a connection despite looking at a few seforim about the Chasam Sofer's family. Be in touch.

We would need to be able to find more information on Kalman -alexander's father- in order to prove or disprove this. The Mesorah of the Torah has no interruption, yichus however is another story.

Also he lived in orlov, slovakia that’s Erlu I think and that’s Chasem sofar territory.

Sendor had 12 kids. So maybe thru on of them.
