James Petty ("J. P.") Hall, CSA - James Petty Hall letter

I descend from Judge James Petty Hall's brother William Augustus Hall. I am looking for anyone who might know of a handwritten letter by Judge Hall's written history of his family. I am trying to prove William's marriage to his first wife Margaret Davis of Kemper, MS before the Civil War. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Robin Reed
