These sites list Elizabeth Bush as the mother of Thomas McClendon II. Elizabeth is seen on some sites as Elinor / Eleanor Elizabeth Bush:

From Thomas I's Wiki page:

Thomas married Elizabeth Bush (abt. 1695-abt. 1729) about.1714 in Bertie County, North Carolina.
Dennis McClendon (1718)
John McClendon (1722, twin)
Joel McClendon (1722, twin)
Isaac McClendon (1724)
Jacob McClendon (1725)
Jemima McClendon (1727)
Thomas McClendon, Jr. (1728)
Stephen McClendon (1729)
Thomas married Mary Bryan (1695-aft. 1768) about 1729 in Bertie County, North Carolina.
Jesse McClendon (1730)
Simon McClendon (1736)
According to this, Thomas I didn't marry Mary Bryan until 1729, a year after Thomas II was born. I can't help but wonder if Elizabeth Bush died during or shortly after the birth of son Stephen b. 1729 given that his father remarried so quickly.
People don't seem to be in agreement with what is connected here on Geni that Mary Bryan was this Thomas II"s mother. And what is listed on these other referenced sites matches with my DNA matches to descendants on these connections only via the Bush connection.
So I have concluded the mother of this Thomas had to be Elizabeth Bush and not Mary Bryan.
