I can't find a primary 1700 (or 1701) birth record for a Samuel Hayden in either CT or MA.
Also, I can't find a website vouching for a Samuel Hayden born in 1700,
which the overview makes a point of argument for two different men named Samuel Hayden.

Wikitree makes a rather exhaustive argument that runs counter to what's presented in the overview:

Whether it's reasoning is valid is another matter, perhaps.

the Palisado Cemetery FindAGrave has been merged into the Howland Cemetery FindAGrave.

I think the Wikitree represents current research findings.

Birth data is documented:

It’s the death date and location that conflicts.
