This Sarah Jackson married Hugh Nelson in Penrith, Cumbria, assumed/presumed daughter of **Robert and **Ellen Hamblington, of Over, Middlewich, Cheshire, two parishes many hundreds of miles from each other ( **These Jacksons are listed in Burke's Peerage and Baronetage). It was very rare for rural communities to look beyond their parishes for potential spouses.

There was a daughter of [[Robert Jackson Robert Jackson] Robert Jackson] and [[Ellen Jackson Ellen Jackson] Ellen Hamblington] of Over, Middlewich, Cheshire called [[Sarah Jackson (died young) Sarah Jackson (died young)] Sarah], but she died before maturity.

This Sarah has been detached from those parents.

Thank you for this information. We established that I most likely do not descend from Thomas "Scotch Tom, Nelson as there s no evidence that he had a son, Solomon Nelson, my ancestor.

Not sure how to remove myself on these profiles. I believe I removed them from my tree. Thank you.

To remove yourself as a profile manager, try this:

(Profile view) Actions > Manager Options > X (to your own name) > (confirm)

Thank you. This worked. I was given Solomon Nelson, son of Thomas and Margaret Reid, son of Hugh and Sarah Nelson, from a great-aunt in the 1970's. Apparently, others received the same info.
