I am a Bennett and a descendant of Richard Bennett , father of Christian Langston, Sarah Langston, Richard, Mark, William (1741), James, Ann, Martha, Moses, Amey. they had 5 girls and 5 boys. Richard's wife Anne died in Warren County NC in 1779. Richard left a will in Granville county NC in 1764
I never heard of Fishing Creek Bennett or Jeremiah Bennett. I have been trying to contact several people on Geni to get a source to this information and no one is responding. Where did this information come from? Is there reference material? I have DNA tests on almost every site and I have never gotten a match for any person who claims to be related to Fishing Creek Bennett.
I don't see how this information can remain without some sort of source. I also have no idea who Naomi or Susanne and Mary are. If it is true, I want to know how to find out and if it isn't true, it should be removed. I am not being critical because there are a lot of people on Geni who have this, but I can't even find Fishing Creek on any other of the genealogy sites. So, please respond. There was another Richard Bennett from North Carolina who came from Maryland around 1760, but his children have much different names. Thanks, Patricia Bennett Reed
