I have tried and tried to find the parents of Carl Albert Bergling who according to the emigration documents (Preussen - Sweden) where born 2 nov 1826 in Brandenburg. He is known later to fake is professional degree and was somewhat of a mystery even to his children (according to their letters and journals). I have tried to find out where this man is from, but without any result. (Sometimes his surname is spelled Berkling). Is there anyone who knows how to work the Brandenburg archives better than I do?
