Several different questions actually.
Family members can control the management of close family. See https://www.geni.com/privacy
So for example, I may build a tree in the 1900s which, at that time, has no close relatives on geni. It’s cousin bait! Once a closer relative arrives, they can ask me to relinquish management to them. If I’m not responsive, you likely could X my name off from actions > manager options.
Let’s say you find a public profile has wrong relationships. Source it (of course), and ask for detaching, if you can’t, via the discussion:

I’d you have a well developed profile prone to confusion (John Smith!) please request a curator make it a Master Profile. See the discussion:
Curators: Please make this profile a Master Profile

And it’s always a good idea to post genealogy notes from the profile “discussion” tab. It’s helpful to everyone & even so years later.
