Hello,

We are currently showing Claire's parents as Lemel Leopold Orchudesch and Fanny Orchurdesh -- and the tree matches for this profile agree.

Andrew John Homburger proposes that the correct parents are Osias Oscar Orchudesch and Rosalie Orchudesch

Andrew, can you please share your sources? That way we could make any necessary changes.

The 1950 U.S. Federal Census says Clara/Claire's father was born in Germany and her mother was born in Norway. Fanny Orchurdesh was born in Norway.

I've added a bunch of sources to the profile, but unfortunately still am not finding sources for her parents, even in JewishGen. Can someone with a paid JewishGen account check?

Virtually every on-line tree, including those from close relatives, says the parents are Lemel and Fanny. The one exception seems to be FamilySearch, which says the parents are Osias and Rosalie but gives no citations.

Due to the Norway clue and the trees of close relatives, I'm inclined to think we had this correct, but I'm very open to it being Osias and Rosalie if we can find sources that say that.

My cousin Ann Marie Homburger asked me to help with this. Her grandmother was Claire Zerline Sinell who had two sisters Marie Orchudesch and Frieda Orchudesch. Ann was told that her grandmother only had two sisters and that her great grandmother's name was Rosalie.

If you look at Marie Orchudesch profile picture you'll see a photo that Ann had that we just uploaded. Taken sometime before Claire was born there are Claire's two sisters. Under the mother's picture, you can clearly see Rosalie and it's unclear the name under "Father" but does look like an O. The dates, location and what Ann has been told, line up with Rosalie Orchudesch. If this is the case, then the profiles for Marie and Frieda should also be moved to children of Rosalie Orchudesch

Also meant to add that I think this means that Frieda Düwell is the same as Frieda Orchudesch and Marie Basseches is the same as Marie Orchudesch and Claire Zerline Sinell is the same as Claire Zerline Sinell
