The Quick family

I am a descendant of Joshua Quick who came to Randolph County, West Virginia sometime in 1830. He is on the US Federal Census for Randolph County in 1830. He was born in 1793 in Albemarle County, Virginia to John Quick and Elizabeth Clise. At least I think those are his parents. Both John and Elizabeth Clise appear in Loudoun County records. I am trying to find a link between this Joshua and the father John. John fought in the American Revolution from Loudoun County. A 'John Quick' and other Quick names appear in the Albemarle Personal Property Tax Records from 1787 through 1816. John Quick appears by himself until 1805 and then he is joined by one or more names: George, John Jun., and James, and Charles. The same names appear on the Nelson County Personal Property Tax Records 1817 through 1831. It is confusing. Joshua's name appears in Nelson Co PPT records in 1825 and in the Albemarle PPT in 1828. My question is 'where all these men related to each other? I think that John Jun, James, George, and Joshua are all sons of the John Quick from Loudoun County, but there are no birth records to prove this. The John Quick 'father' did not leave a will that I can find. I did find his Inventory that lists his tools which indicate he may have been a cabinet maker. Can anyone help shed light on this conundrum?
