Hi PRO Private User
welcome to the medieval Geni origins of your surname,
don't worry, now we will try to clean up the unfinished merges, you will be new and it will all seem incomprehensible, It's perfectly normal at the beginning, Geni is one big single world tree shared in multi administration.

With (C) Erica Howton we have fixed everything out here..
before we started cleaning up, I noticed that new DUP 2023 Christopher Dillon/Duland, DUP

wants to be the same 2014 Christopher Dillon son of James Dillon, 1st Earl of Roscommon
but he is mentioned ''died childless'', on: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Dillon,_1st_Earl_of_Roscommon
[Burke 1883, p. 172, left column, line 65. "IV. Christopher d.s.p."]

since I see that they are not even profiles inserted directly by you, but by USER Private User

it would be better to understand each other for a moment for sources or explanation TNX

given that another conflicting generation also follows above ..all white unsourced..
(C) Erica Howton in the meantime.. ..in the end there would only be 3 UNDOs to do:

**https://www.geni.com/merge/view?revision_id=84725810570
***https://www.geni.com/merge/view?revision_id=84725831050

because USER Private User in August said inside profile of Lady Jane Johanna Dillon/Duland, DUP
''My information has come Ancestry and these surnames are new to dad side of family''
(ancestry.com I presume)

PS. DUP Sir 1st Baron of Kilkenny James Dillon/Duland, DUP
want to be exactly the same James Dillon, 1st Earl of Roscommon

..James Dillon, '''1st Earl of Roscommon'''
On 24 January 1620 Dillon was raised to the peerage with the title of '''Baron Dillon of Kilkenny-West''', in the Peerage of Ireland.[36]
{but his son Christopher, is reported died childless[15]}

It looks like the new line, that needs sourcing, starts with Ann Dillon/Duland mother of Thomas Dillon/Duland

FYI - Ron’s dup profiles reflect an alternate ancestry for Sir James Dillon of Riverstown

Seen as child of Sir Richard Dillon, Kt. and Joan Wile

Following & fixing-finishing new merges..
(he will take a bit of some other patience:)
..Erica Howton I found an already reported but still here ADMN from 1800 James Mellor, Sr. :)

I’ll open a ticket.

I like to know who correct you or ancestry as my information came from Ancestry where the Dillon family coming from in my family from Cornwall and link righ back to Benjamin Earle and Grace Harris in the 1739 for him and 1742 for her. Grace father John Harris Married a Sarah Blanch then John father was Thomas Harris and his father Peter Harris married a Jane Dillon and her father was Thomas Dillon and he married a Dorothy Wollcoke according to Ancestry and that how I got my information so I am hoping that you can let me if I am on the right track and some information came from your site back to Ireland which now you have let me know that I am wrong

Hi Private User

Your pedigree report breaks at Thomas Dillon/Duland

Not a known son of Christopher Dillon son of James Dillon, 1st Earl of Roscommon

mentioned without children, on: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Dillon,_1st_Earl_of_Roscommon

Burke 1883, p. 172, left column, line 65. "IV. Christopher d.s.p."

So if you have primary source data indicating otherwise, please advise.

According to the Journals of the House of Lords
Great Britain House of Lords-1828 back to 1600 a case about Christopher Dillon and Ann Hartrolle were married and had a son Thomas but they could not not find any evidence for the claim. I googled Ann Hartrolle 1600 and came up with the Journal of the House of Lords. Just my be they were but the family didn’t recognise it. If you are interested please read the article on it

https://books.google.com/books?id=YhxDAAAAcAAJ&lpg=PA436&ots=UE-vNv...

It looks like a pretend pedigree. No evidence to support the claim was found.
