Hi all!

I believe middle names were not in vogue during this time. Are we using the town of Fareham (adjacent to Titchfield) as a convenient distinction?

Thanks!

Dean

Fareham in the middle name field of the profile seems to indicate he was born in Fareham. But it looks like his birthplace might be Exeter in Devon, at least the source citation at https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Littlefield-261

1. Gary Boyd Roberts, English Orgins of New England Familes Vol. I, (1984 Genealogical Publishing co. Inc.), 306.

To answer your other questions, this is the reference to origins I’ve found so far:

French, Elizabeth. Genealogical Research in England - Littlefield. New England Historical and Genealogical Register. (New England Historic Genealogical Society, Oct 1913)67:346.

His parentage has not been learned, but he had brothers. James Littlefield of Droxford and Richard Littlefield, and a sister Mary who married, 20 Jan. 1600/7, John Beane.

I’m removing Annis Delve as mother and removing the “sir” and “Nicholas” from the profile.
