It appears that having a common name in a popular place is causing some confusion for our research into John Ball. I've found multiple wills for apparently multiple John Balls of Stafford in that time period. One lists sons and no daughters so I am discounted that. I have come across another will recently that has no date, or place attributed to it but is signed or marked by a John Ball and is being attributed to this same John Ball. It's written by hand so it appears to be copied from a register book or such. This will doesn't list his wife or children by name but instead references them as his wife and five daughters. Obviously those that mattered at the time know of whom he is referring to but a few centuries later we are in the dark as to the identities of these people. The only names specified in the document are Moses Ball and William Adams who are listed as executors.

I've reached out the individual who uploaded the doc on ancestry.com as to where this copy was obtained from but have not heard back as of yet.
I am posting this discussion in the hopes that the greater genealogy community can begin to determine if this is indeed his will and if so, use any of the details contained within it to further or research.
