What is the source for this? I've been unable to locate a source for Elizabeth's parents. The only hint I've found is the Brunswick County deed book 7 where she relinquishes her right to dowry as part of a property transaction also involving James Crook. There's nothing in that reference that connects Elizabeth and James Crook except as being part of a transaction.
Does anyone have other sources or can can explain why the deed book 7 reference is definitive? If not, this connection should be removed.
