What happened with the history for Sigurður? It seems his tree has been disconnected from his ancestors following a merge. Was there a reason?

Thank you!

Hi Karrie. There was evidence shown to me, that the marriage of his mother was incorrect, and could not be verified. So, I had to start from scratch. I'm hoping to connect this with actual verifiable sources this time, and not merging to trees whose profiles don't have verified sources to justify the right profile connections.
If you have conclusive sources, please add them.

Hi Glen,

Thank you for replying. I returned to have another look at the cousin path, which prompted my curiosity. Unfortunately I do not have any sources since I've never researched him personally, but am happy to help you dig into this. Hopefully his notoriety and the overall tendency in Iceland of keeping good records helps!

Our difficulty is access to and proper cross-referencing of the Íslendingabók. Since I do not have access, it makes it a bit more challenging.
"Access to the Íslendingabók website is limited to individuals with Icelandic national identity number, kennitala."

I made this mini-tree because I found my DNA match to KOV-A2 sample in mytrueancestry.com. From there, I investigated and began building the story.

I have had to reset this a few times, as the information I was given was inaccurate for trying to establish his father.

We keep digging!
