Disruptive password expiration forced by Geni in the middle of a session

In the middle of building a Family Group via SmartCopy, I was disrupted with a message that my password had expired and I requested a new one.

I absolutely did NOT request a new password in the middle of a session.

I had no choice but to go and change my password.

I would expect that if a password is expiring, Geni will send an email to the user and advise them as such.

It seems somewhat unprofessional for Geni to disrupt a user in the middle of a session the way it just happened to me.

I'm interested in whether this has happened to anyone else.

Same, both for me and my wife. My wife couldn't even use the password reset function. The page would always error.
