Argalus’ grandfather, (Mariner) James Henderson Sr. may have come to North Carolina with relatives from Somerset County, Maryland, but contrary to some claims online, he and his son James (Isaac) Jr. did not arrive in America in 1716 as Jacobite prisoners aboard the Friendship. The elder James is instead believed to be the son of William (the Sawyer) Henderson and his wife, Sarah Bishop, of Somerset Co MD.

Geni currently shows James “the mariner” Henderson as son of John Henderson & Margaret Robertson

Jim Henderson, do have insight?
