Whilst Thomas C Standley may have been married in Mauritius, I can find NO PROOF he was born there.
I have looked in the Mauritian Archives (AMA) and printed out ALL the STANDLEY & STANLEY names of people on the island between certain dates. There are NO RECORDS for Thomas details except marriage.(see cgmrgenealogie.mu)
Unfortunately, someone somewhere has added Thomas to a Standley family tree without checking their facts and now it is coming across as proof that this person was in my family tree. Many people on My Heritage have added him incorrectly.
My reasoning also comes from a small diary my Mum owned which states some birthdates for family members. My Mum was Annie Standly's daughter. Thomas is not mentioned.
Second, the family name was altered when Elizabeth and Annie Stanley's parents moved to Mauritius. If Thomas was born first then he would also have the original spelling and he does not!
