I have been doing some work on the Bolitho tree, adding in dates and sources. Apart from the "Visitation", there does not seem to be any reason to identify the John Bolitho who baptised a Thomas Bolitho in 1623 at Wendron with the John Bolitho of Helston [the son of John Bolitho & Christian Pasmore]
The Helston John Bolitho was the youngest child [& last mentioned in the will of his father]. He was baptised in 1615 at Helston & was only three years old when his father died in 1618. That John married Elizabeth Saunders in Helston in 1640.
The Wendron John Bolitho was likely born around 1600 [or maybe earlier as no wife or marriage is known, so he could have other & earlier children than Thomas in 1623]. Age at marriage in this part of Cornwall in this era seems to be about 24/26 years old for me. His son Thomas Bolitho was baptised on the 6th July 1623 at St Wendrona. Unfortunately, no mother is given in the record, so the name of John's wife is not known. There are no other children in this era baptised to a John Bolitho [despite lots of online tree listing multiple children. Maria Bolitho is the illegitimate daughter of Johanne Bolitho].
John Bolitho was buried on the 24th Jan 1643/44 at St Wendrona, Wendron, Cornwall. No will have been found for him & nobody was buried as his wife or widow.
So, given that the Helston branch already has a John Bolitho who stayed there & THIS John Bolitho is too old to belong to their family anyway, to me, it seems that he should be disconnected from that branch. This is my line, but it has taken me quite a while to realise that this part of the tree is just not correct. There are other issues further along, but one problem at a time!
