Robert,
Thank you for your reply.
In my sister-in-law's tree, which we collaborate on, they are visible.

Your Cuzzin.
Linda.
For user profiles there are some additional privacy settings: https://www.geni.com/account_settings/profile_privacy.
You may also want to look at https://www.geni.com/account_settings/managed_profiles
Profiles for living people are always private unless they are made MP profiles
Profiles for deceases people can be private if they are born 150 years or less ago, but they can be made public by their managers.
Profile that are born more than 150 years ago can be made public by curators when they do not contain information that should stay private.
Jonathan,
Thank you.
I am sorry I can't find a profile that is private on the tree I manage and public on the tree that she manages.
I have studied the links Job provided me with, is there a way to find out. ?
Here is an image of what the tree looks like that my sister-in-law manages.

Linda Brits Nèe Smit you are both managers on the same tree, so there is really only one tree.
What you can see on the tree depends on if you are logged on or not and at which profiles you look (you can see more info on private profiles in your family group, so you might see a difference on profiles that are in the family group of only one of you)
There is some more info on https://www.geni.com/privacy
