I need help removing the parents from this profile
John Pugsley, Sr.

There is no proof that these are this John's correct parents. There is no proof of where John came from in England. Many people want to connect him to these parents simply because Phillip had a son named John, but without proof I do not want to have them connected.

I am unable to remove this connection because I do not have a Pro account. I would love some help.

Even if you were a "pro" you would have trouble deleting a pair of profiles. Only individual profiles can be deleted. They don't like free floating/unconnected profiles so you're not allowed to disconnect them from John.
You can leave a comment on the profiles of individuals, so I would suggest that you "write something about" Phillip on his profile - Just what you wrote here.
Even if you disassociate Phillip from John, someone is likely to come and add him back.

You could ask to make him a MP profile with relations locked. See https://www.geni.com/discussions/272715 (don't forget to read the first message there which states what has to be done for requesting a MP profile)

If you want to to cut a wrong connection as a basic user, you first have to make sure to the profile you want to disconnect stays connected to the Geni World Tree when you cut the wrong connection. So if parents are wrongly connected first make sure they are connected to another profile in the World Tree before trying to cut the wrong connection.

If there are correct parents you may be able to choose the right parents on the relation tab of the child (that will disconnect the wrong parents automatically)
