Hey y'all!

I am looking for ancestry on Leo Lawrence and Miriam "Mary" Lawrence . I believe I have found both of their parents but I cannot find much after that. I'm not even completely certain that I'm on the right track as I am not very verse in finding heritage from these islands. This is my spouse's great grandparents. We have been told stories that somewhere along this line they had a hand in Fireburn of 1876. I'm not very proficient in documentation of enslaved persons. I was wondering if anyone in this group can either show me the ropes of finding those documentations or if anyone here is also looking into this family.

Hi Brittany,
I am far from expert at tracing West Indian ancestry but I’m Jamaican & have done a minimal level of this,with help from cousins who are way more tech-savvy than I.
I’d like to follow along,watch for experts to hopefully chime in & maybe learn a bit.
