Col. William Wilson - Multiple Issues

I received notice for an inconsistency on a profile placed as their son who I don't believe belongs in the group at all, in that he was born in Scotland far away from this family: William Wilson

But upon further inspection I also see quite a lot of dispute and controversy over factual details, with little or nothing in the way of reference to act as a guideline for making managerial decisions.

Extensive notes have been made indicating their children should be: Willis, Mary, and Jane.

However, Jane Moore has conflicting parentage on her profile in addition to conflicting information in the About for her.

Please help. Thank you.

I think the conflicting parentage of Jane (Sr.) came from the most recent merge, which I reversed ... I hope I've straightened Jane's parents & spouses correctly.

I could not find anything remotely reliable supporting William Willson ... and thus disconnected it.

Much appreciated, Dan. I now only object to the fact that she was born long after the deaths of both of these parents currently assigned to her. It may just be an error in her birthdate.

You're right ... and there's another 'sibling' born after their deaths.

I initially wondered if those 2 belonged with the son Captain Augustine Moore, II ... but that doesn't really work with the documentation of that Augustine II --- so, more reading and interpreting of conflicting info is needed.

We probably need some additional "Virginia experts" of colonial times to help find better sources for these Wilson / Moore families. Any suggestions, Erica Howton?
