Thanks for connecting this to the group Cynthia. As I build out my tree William Hughes (b.1755) is the first little snag. As I cross reference different genealogy sites WHL shows up as "adopted by" Stephen Lacy (b. 1705) but also listed as Stephen's Grandson in Stephens will. Stephen's wife Sarah (b. 1730 OR b.1705?)is listed as a possible second or third wife . A Wiki Tree thread has her listed as wife of a William Lacy (b. 1829) Lacy. And yet another site has Stephen Lacy as beging married to a Margaret Fleming...?!?
I know I need to find vital records to help ascertain some of this info but any help on navigating these descrepencies?

Sources are going to be important.
