I bought a DNA test from them so I could get my haplogroups confirmed and showing. I accidentally bought a useless DNA test, which showed me almost no difference from my Ancestry test. However, I wrote them, to note my mistake and try to get the right tests ordered. My problem is that when I wrote them to try to get the right tests, no one responded. It's been a good while since I got my results, weeks. I wrote them again, separately, wrote them on FB. I finally got back an email asking me how was my customer service experience. I replied that I haven't had any since I ordered my test manually, on the site, which is technically NO customer support ... yet. NO ONE is responding to me and I cannot see a single test that I can purchase, outside of upgrading to Health report.

I'm curious if I'm missing something, because as far as I can tell ... I've navigated their entire site and I see no pages with tests listed and no one responds, so is anyone on this site who can talk with someone on that site, some employee here who participates in forums, perhaps? I don't quite know what to think of it, it's like they don't give a rat's hump about doing business at all. I don't get it. Maybe someone knows they're short-staffed? It's no way to run a business, but really, we can't post our DNA haplogroups if we can't get them through the one place we can share that data from. Idk what I'm supposed to do. I've never experienced any company who doesn't even want to give me any attention to buy their products. It's kinda Twilight Zone-ish to me.

You probably should complain on MyHeritage.
You can transfer the test results to Geni, see https://help.geni.com/hc/en-us/sections/206536207-DNA or more specific https://help.geni.com/hc/en-us/articles/115002543133-How-do-I-trans...

If you want to know your haplogroup(s) you need mtDNA and/or Y-DNA tests.

Myheritage don't sell those.
.
You need:
https://www.familytreedna.com/

Ancestry.com and MyHeritage.com only sells autosomal tests. If you want your haplogroups shown on Geni, you need to buy yDNA (fathers male line) and mtDNA (mothers female line) at https://www.familytreedna.com/ which is the only company linking test results to Geni.

Michelle Angelique Stein -

As Remi mentioned - FTDNA = familytreedna.com is the only company whose test results can be linked to Geni.

The are also basically the only company offering mtDNA and YDNA testing.
MyHeritage does not offer any Haplogroup testing.

If you want, you can use your results at MyHeritage to get results at FTDNA, and then link those results to your profile at Geni.

Geni is owned by MyHeritage, so once MyHeritage was selling autosomal DNA tests, that became the only autosomal DNA test one can buy thru Geni.
However, Geni cannot make any use of that test.

If you use your results at MyHeritage to get results at FTDNA, you should eventually also get a mtDNA Haplogroup if you also "unlock" - but their role-out of thaf is delayed, so may be years. They just started giving Y Haplogrould to males who take the Family Finder test there - then have to go back and provide for those who tested at FTDNA before they were doing that, then to transfers from MyHeritage who "unlocked" the extra feztures. After all Y Haplogroups, in same order they will start on mt Haplogroups.

Re: the Haplogroups that are going to be provided with the Family Finder Tests - I do not know if you can use those on Geni, or if for Gemi you would have to take the respective tests.
