Profiles Mentioned:

Hello. I am a descent of Donald David and Angelia (nee Zeigler) Zeigler through their son Bernard who arrived with his parents, family and siblings in Charleston on Sept. 29, 1752 from Germany on the ship Cunliffe. I had to get help from a Geni staff member to find this profile -- that I got added to by someone -- because we have always been Zeiglers, going back to Germany.
Bernard was listed on a partial passenger list that survives as Zigler followed by (Zeigler). His wife died the next year and he married Anne Maria Wedlin. In their St. Matthew’s Church marriage record by the Rev. John Geissendanner of Orangeberg, South Carolina, November 16, 1753, it said, “Bernard Ziegler married to Anne Mary Wedlin, widow, both lately come in from Germany.”
Their wedding , calling him Zeigler, was noted in the 1934 compedium "First Families of America," page 511.
Barnard and Anne's four children were baptised by the Rev. Giessenndaner as Zeiglers -- Zibilla, Jacob (my ancestor), Hans Casper and Christiana.
Can the most common spelling Zeigle be added to this profile to help other researchers. In the first federal census of 1790 all of the several Zeiglers in the Orangeburg, SC tracts were "Zeigler."
I am the oldest in our Bernard Zeigler line and the family historian. His son Jacob (1755-1830) went by Jacob and signed his will Zeigler. Most of his 11 children are buried in our family Zeigler Cemetery at Millbrook, Elmore County, AL They are all Zeiglers.

Thanks for any help I can get.
